About your Teacher

Several asked interesting questions not about the course, but about me! So I thought you might want to know a bit more about my background and why I am so happy to be working at Hunterdon Central.

A Chance to see Philly with my kids this summer

Born, breed and educated in New Jersey, I have called Hunterdon County my home for the past twenty-one years. Along with my two children, Nick and Katie, I share my home with my precocious cat, Georgianna.

A graduate of Mount Saint John Academy, I earned my bachelor degrees in Business Administration and English from Fairleigh Dickinson University in the late 1980's. My favorite part of my college experience certainly came from the six months I spent at Wroxton College, in Wroxton, England.

I put the business degree to work immediately after graduation as a financial specialist for AT&T. In the last three years of my tenn year corporate career I had the opportunity to put the rest of my degree to work. As a performance developer my English degree became indispensible as I developed the manuals and training material for on-line customer service reps. Little did I know this would be the beginning of my career in education.

The teaching bug took over after several years of substitute teaching throughout the Fleming-Reading and Hunterdon Central School Districts. After earning my education certificate through the New Jersey New Pathways to Teaching program at The New Jersey City University, I have had the opportunity to put my experience and education to work as part of the amazing English department here at Hunterdon Central.

When not teaching you might find me reading for pleasure, working on the never ending list of home improvement projects, or planning to travel with my children.
